When my mother died, a friend sent this ornament to me as a remembrance. I hung it in my kitchen window where I could see it every day.

This is sold as a Christmas ornament and could certainly be used that way, but why keep it only for Christmas? It doesn't actually have a Christmas theme, and is a pretty memorial all year around. It's big enough to be a pretty keepsake but small enough not to be obtrusive or showy. I enjoy seeing mine every day and am glad my friend feels the same way.

This is beautiful and extremely high quality. I bought it for a relative that died on Thanksgiving, to give to her widower... Once I received it, I immediately ordered one as a memorial for my mother who had passed. This is just gorgeous, and meaningful to me. LOVE IT!!!

Bought 2 of these for best friends who recently lost their spouses. They are beautifully made. A perfect size with wonderful detail. They were both very touched by the sentiment and called me immediately after receiving them to thank me and to let me know they were going to put them on their Christmas tree, and then after Christmas, hang them in a window. The ornament is very beautifully made seems like it will last a very long time. I bought it as a memory Christmas ornament with my grandmas passing. She was an avid bird watcher and the bird house on the ornament is just perfect. I will have trouble storing it away after the holidays as it really is a gorgeous memorial.

This was perfect to gift to my bosses who lost their father after Thanksgiving. They own a tree service company, so this was perfect. My only complaint was the color ribbon it came with, I changed it to a navy blue to be more fitting.
