Sounds great! But how does all this work?

We get it. You've got alot of questions about how all this works. It's pretty simple:

  1. Choose your quantity of trees and place an order. You'll receive an immediate email with a downloadable Certificate of Planting.
  2. We arrange planting: We will arrange planting with our partner, Arbor Day Foundation.
  3. Your memorial trees are planted: All memorial trees are planted in the spring or fall after your order is placed.
  4. You receive an impact report: Approximately 3-6 months after planting, you will receive an impact report via email which gives more details about the planting project your order was completed with.

"Forests of Great Need” are chosen with our on-the-ground partners, as they help us determine the forests in greatest need of replanting efforts. Often these areas have been ravaged by fires or drought.

Q. Will there be a plaque or sign by my trees?

No, there is not a plaque by your specific tree, but the trees are formally documented on Arbor Day's online tree registry.

Q. Who actually plants the trees?

All plantings are completed by contracted professional tree planters and are overseen and assessed by foresters on the grounds.

In a nutshell, no. Generally speaking, these planting are done in remote regions with limited accessibility. Often, there are tens of thousands of acres where hundreds of thousands of seedlings are planted.

Our planting partners select and plant trees native to the specific area. Tree species selected will differ from region to region throughout the country.
